Very happy to announce that I won 3rd place in the animal category of the Adult Advanced Amateur division in the NJ State Fair this year!

I was asked this past winter to do a commission for the newly renovated cafeteria building for Franklin Mutual Insurance Group in Branchville, NJ! It was a very fun and exciting project! Yesterday, I got my 5×7 proofs printed to 24×36 and 30×45 large format prints  by Moonlight Imaging in Augusta, NJ (They do amazing work!!!) , signed the final prints, and dropped them off to FMI for mating and framing. I can’t wait to see them hung in the cafeteria! More pictures to come of my images hung in the cafeteria!

I now have photographs for sale at Ideal Farm and Garden Center in Lafayette, NJ!!! Go check them out! They are a really cool farm with a lot of local produce and products!!

The art show went really well!! I sold a bunch of photographs and got to see a lot of people I haven’t seen in a while. Timothy made me this awesome new banner yesterday. I love it! We’re having fun planning our wedding-going to the caterer this Sunday!

Next Saturday kicks off my grandma’s 15th anniversary art show at Lafayette Village in Lafayette, NJ!! There are tons of new originals and prints and my photography will also be for sale.   Here are the dates and hours:

Here is my favorite painting of this year. I already have a print hanging in my apartment. I’m trying to get the original (wedding present?? haha just kidding.) ;-)

Timmy suggested we go to Sandy Hook so I could take photos of the lighthouse. We drove down on Saturday afternoon it was pretty cool and breezy, but very beautiful. There were actually a lot of people there for tours and what not so we just walked around the light house for a little while  then we found a beach with no people. I was taking some photos and all the sudden he got down on one knee and proposed to me. It was perfect.  We’re so excited and plan on getting married on the beach at Sandy Hook next fall. 

Timmy and I went to Fort Lee Historic Park today! It’s a really neat place. There are a ton of deer and little critters. We felt like we were in Sussex County. The park is very close to the George Washington Bridge on the New Jersey side so I got some really awesome shots.

We adopted a 9 year old calico cat named Madison from Bergen County Animal Shelter. She’s a big mush and we love her. I’ve already started taking a ton of photos of her. <3

Hopefully next weekend we will have another cool adventure!

A lot of exciting things have been going on! I started working at an animal hospital, Timmy and I moved into an apartment in Hackensack, NJ, I won 2 first place ribbons this year in the Still Life and Architecture categories at The New Jersey State Fair, and Timmy finished my website!!

Before we moved to Bergen County we went over to the sunflower patch along Route 15 in Lafayette, NJ and I got some awesome shots.

We’re still getting used to the Hackensack area and I’m looking for some neat new places to take photographs (there are no wild animals here…I’ve only seen squirrels. haha)
